Personal Lines Representative (Guam)
Personal Lines Department in Property & Casualty Division

Responsibilities
-
Follow and adhere to Underwriting guidelines set forth

Maintain files / Filing
-
Ensure that customers make buying decisions armed with the right amount of information
-
Analyze customer’s complaints and recommend solutions
-
Discuss with customers on telephone and provide information on the company’s products and services
-
Record all conversations with clients with details of inquiries or complaints and action steps that were taken
-
Understand the company’s insurance policies and products and be able to tell whether a policy covers a type of loss or not
-
Call up customers who had previously called to complain to know if their challenges have been resolved and to ensure that they are now satisfied
-
Communicate changes or adjustment in policies to clients
-
Forward all filed claims to the appropriate department for handling and investigation
-
Assist clients in filing of policy documents and contact them whenever any error is discovered, or when it needs to be corrected
-
Offer information about price quotes to prospective customers
-
Receive visiting customers and provide them with necessary assistance
-
Manage and protect the reputation of the company
-
Maintain strong clientele relationship with customers
-
Set up inspection of new and renewal home business. Making sure that appraisals are up to date according to underwriting guidelines
-
Process new or renewal policies and endorsements. Transmit, if necessary, business releases to respective departments
-
Review and assess balance on accounts for renewals, payroll/ACH plans, and any revisions on annual policy premiums
-
Assist with backlogs whenever necessary
-
Back up for customer service, processing, support clerk, receptionist, operator, or cashier whenever necessary
-
Occasionally be assigned to other branch locations
-
Occasionally receive payments and issue receipts for such payments. Prepare daily cash report to accounting at the end of the day, if needed
-
Attend insurance continuing education courses, if needed
-
Any other job related duties as assigned by supervisor
Position Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Must have excellent communication skills in verbal and written form
-
Experience with Microsoft Office (ex: Outlook Express, Microsoft Word/Excel)
-
Experience with operating Xerox machine (ex: Copy, Fax and Scan)
-
Able to handle multiple assignments under high pressure
-
Highly organized and dedicated with a positive attitude
-
Thrive on working in a challenging environment
-
