Claims File Clerk (Guam)

Claims Department (Life & Health Division)

Nature of Work

The Claims File Clerk works in the Claims Department reviewing insurance claims to verify eligibility of benefits and performing general office activities such as answering phones, operating computers, processing mail and securing confidential material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Documents receipt of claims

  • Reviews claim forms and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy; follows up for additional or missing information

  • Verifies eligibility of claims against respective plan benefits

  • Prepares outgoing correspondence to members

  • Sorts and files claims documents

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of general work experience, administrative experience preferred
